I received my Venture X one month ago & spent over $4600k & paid off that balance as well. I earned my 75,000 miles bonus for doing so. I decided to try to get a cli & requested online. Capital One jumped my initial $20k credit line to $30lk. It seems if they see you using the card extensively they reward you w/a larger credit limit. For most people would definitely be Venture X. It has more competitive overall earn rates for people that want a minimal set up. Basically the card allows for a more luxury experience with a very easy break even path. Platinum you can get the outsized value but totally a YMMV card. Also, if you like your hotel and airline points you don’t get credit if you go through capital one travel. Lastly, tried to book a flight today and the price increased twice while booking, went to the airline directly and the original price was offered. Couldn’t be more disappointed. 1. SunsetSpotting.
