Chevy silverado radio volume not working

Have a 07 silverado with factory radio and cd player. Radio works and then does not work. Or I should say it works but at a very low volume level and only through the roof post speakers. Also noticed that when the radio is haveing this issue the open door chimes also are very weak or do not work. Then it may come on and everything works.

Has anyone had any issues with the volume knob not working on their radio? Spinning the knob would have the audio level bar show up on the screen but it didn't adjust. The steering wheel controls would adjust the level though. So idk what the deal was. Working it out takes a little bit, but rotating and tipping, will work it out. Take your time. So on mine you would have it on radio, and all the other screens would show up on it. I took it they updated it and all is good now. You may want to have them check your voltage though.
