For grinding I would agree, but against something like Elvarg I'd say it's an unnecessary and even debatable change. With OP's gear and stats, strength ammy increases DPS to 0.52483 from 0.51316. That's about a 2.3% DPS increase. But that comes at the loss of the admittedly minor +3 defense but also the +3 prayer.

First, never pray mage against Elvarg, she comes from a time before dragonfire was reduced by praying mage, and her dragonfire is apparently hardcoded and cannot be changed. As such, always pray melee if possible. If Melee isnt possible, pray whatever your highest % strength and attack boosting prayer are.
