Eldridge Street Synagogue, located at 12 Eldridge Street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1887 and was the first synagogue built by Eastern European Jews in the United States. One of the founders was a rabbi from St. Petersburg, Russia. The synagogue is in the Moorish Revival style with luxurious rose windows.
