Sharing my 1.5k mileage review of the Hyundai 2022 Ioniq 5 SEL AWD (also have a Tesla model 3 LR AWD). Got Ioniq 5 for MSRP in dealer inventory across the pond in NY (get with the program VT and sell these), salesman easy to work with but admitted he knew nothing about electric cars (ha I expected that). Pros. I really did like the ioniq 5 better but the ev6 was also very nice. In my case I would have been happy with either. For me the Ioniq 5 was a great deal and the markup on the ev6 was atrocious so it made my decision easy. yeah, agreed. The issue reported was simply 'battery issue'. I test drove the car and checked it out, doesn't seem to have any problems, full expected range. Hyundai dealer says it has all been checked out and there is no problem. Still under warranty of course.Ioniq 5: better looking (subjectively of course) slightly more comfortable ride, more passenger space (back seat space is amazing) two years of free dc fast charging, Apple CarPlay/android auto. Software is a HUGE difference though, Tesla completely wins hands down with regular meaningful updates.
